[origin: EP2730316A1] The optical detecting device has multiple optical detectors which are connected to an evaluation unit for receiving and evaluation of signals of the detectors. The multiple detectors are arranged in distributed manner as individual detectors (1,3,4) on a dome-shaped ceiling bracket (5) so that their fields of vision look in a different direction. The individual detectors define a number of fields of visions, in which the room to-be monitored is spatially resolved.
