The waste container cabinet (1) comprises an insertion lid (2) that covers an insertion aperture. The waste is thrown into a waste container through the insertion aperture. An operating element (3) is provided to open the insertion lid. The operating element is actuated as a separate element spatial of the insertion lid and is decorated as a locking element to enable the unlocking of an opening of the insertion lid.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Abfallcontainerschrank (1) zur Aufnahme eines Abfallcontainers (19), mit einem Einwurfdeckel (2), der eine Einwurföffnung (15) überdeckt, durch die hindurch Abfall in einen in dem Abfallcontainerschrank (1) angeordneten Abfallcontainer (19) eingeworfen werden kann, und einem Betätigungselement (3) zum Öffnen des Einwurfdeckels (2). Der Abfallcontainerschrank (1) zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass das Betätigungselement (3) als ein von dem Einwurfdeckel (2) räumlich getrenntes Element ausgeführt ist und/oder dass das Betätigungselement (3) als Verriegelungselement ausgestaltet ist, dessen Entriegelung ein Öffnen des Einwurfdeckels (2) bewirkt.
