Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2732853A1] The system (14) has a fixed holder in form of a housing (16) secured to a main foot (2) and a seat or saddle (6) of aqua bike and a friction element (17) moving with respect to the holder. The element bears against a rotary plate i.e. sheave (8) driven by a crankset (7) in order to brake the crankset by exerting pressing force on the plate. An actuating unit exerts an adjustable force corresponding to the pressing force on the element. The unit includes a hydraulic cylinder to be supplied by a hydraulic circuit of the bike in order to adjust the braking force by acting on the circuit.
