[origin: EP2733225A1] Cooling element arrangement for metallurgical furnaces comprises a cooling plate (6), which is arranged on a metal wall (2) of the furnace, (ii) a coolant connection (8, 9), (iii) a pre-configured opening (11, 12), and (iv) a coating, which is attached at the cooling plate in a form-fitting manner. The hot sides (4) of the cooling plate face the inner side of the furnace. The cold sides of the cooling plate face the wall of the furnace. The cooling plate has the coolant connections respectively in at least one inner lying coolant channel, and the pre-configured openings. The coating is either a preconfigured slag forming layer or a pre-configured wear-resistant layer. The cooling bars are introduced into the coating.
