[origin: WO2013013696A1] The invention relates to a power sweeper (10), comprising a sweeping brush (22) that can be driven in rotation, a sweepings container (28), a suction fan (18) and at least one filter (42, 44), which is arranged in the flow path between the sweeping brush (22) and the suction fan (18) and which is connected in respect of flow to the suction fan (18) via a suction line and to a pressure vessel (66) via an external air line and at least one external air valve (72, 74), and to which filter external air stored in the pressure vessel (66) can be applied for cleaning purposes. In order for the filter (42, 44) be effectively cleaned with the minimum volume of external air at the lowest positive pressure possible, the external air line comprises a hood (86, 88) that covers the filter (42, 44) on the clean side (54) thereof and forms a first portion of the suction line adjoining the clean side (54) of the filter (43, 44).
