[origin: WO2013011384A1] One example embodiment includes an elastic strand for use in kinesiology tape. The elastic strand includes an elastic core. The elastic core is configured to elongate under an external force and return to its original size after an external force is removed. The elastic strand also includes at least one outer strand, where the outer strand is wound around the elastic core.
