The device (7) comprises a tool (1) that makes mechanical interaction with one side (15) of a mono-film (4), for realizing a weakening line as a notch (16). The depth of the notch which ends along a cross-section of the mono-film, is less than a thickness of the mono-film, such that other side of the mono-film is intact. The tool defines an opening line which extends from an edge (6) of the mono-film to a foil segment boundary between two adjacent sheet segments. A rotatable cylinder (9) defines a reference position of the mono-film. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a weakening line in a mono-film as an opening aid for opening a package; and (2) a mono-film.

Herstellungsvorrichtung (7) zum Herstellen einer Schwächungslinie in einer Monofolie (4) zwecks Realisierung einer Öffnungshilfe zum Öffnen einer Verpackung (22; 18) hergestellt mit Hilfe der Monofolie (4), aufweisend ein Werkzeug (1) zum mechanischen Zusammenwirken mit der Monofolie (4) an ihrer ersten Seite (15) zwecks Realisierung eines Einschnitts (16) als Schwächungslinie, wobei der Einschnitt (16) in einer Tiefe (T) entlang des Querschnitts der Monofolie (4) endet, welche Tiefe (T) geringer als die Dicke (D) der Monofolie (4) ist, so dass die zweite Seite (17) der Monofolie (4) unversehrt ist.
