[origin: EP2735666A2] The construction profile has an elongated profile body (1) that forms a support part (2) and having a contact area (3) and a profile shank (4), which is connected with a sheathing in certain areas. The sheathing has a reinforced section, which together with the profile shank form an edge closure for a plaster layer to be applied on the construction profile or a planking and whose dimensions are adapted to the thickness of the plaster layer or of the planking. The sheathing is made of plastic, particularly polyvinylchloride, wood-based material or composite material.
