[origin: EP2735830A2] The device (1) has gas-permeable drum shell (4) that is arranged in treatment chamber (14). To-be-treated web-like material (8) is placed on drum shell. A fan chamber provided with fan is arranged on first end side of drum (2) within drum shell for generating negative pressure in interior (50) of the drum so that gaseous treatment medium is configured to flow into the drum for treating the web-like material. An exhaust air discharging portion is arranged at front end of drum for discharging second portion of treating medium treating the web-like material. An independent claim is included for a method for re-tooling thermal bonding device used for treating web-like material.
