[origin: WO2013013735A1] The invention relates to a device for closing containers (2) comprising a plurality of closer stations (1) formed at the periphery of a rotor (16) which can be driven to circulate around the vertical machine axis (X), which closer stations each have a closer tool (3). The device is characterized in that the respective closer station (1) has a magnetically acting coupling element (9) which has a first, inner magnet element (10) and a second, outer magnet element (11), wherein a drive space (26) separate from a product space (27) is formed, and which second, outer magnet element (11) is positively guided on a linear guide (13) and takes along the closer tool (3) via a driver (14) in a required height movement, likewise with positive guidance. In an exemplary embodiment, a separating wall (12) is arranged between the first, inner magnet element (10) and the second, outer magnet element (11).
