[origin: WO2013017575A1] The invention relates to a connection for panel-type components (2, 4) by means of a lock which acts along adjacent lateral edges (34, 36) of the components (2, 4) and which can be brought into engagement by lowering a component (4) relative to a component (2) that has already been installed. A profiled slide (16) is guided in a movable manner on one component (2), said profiled slide being bringable into locking engagement with a locking recess (52) on the other component (4) for the purpose of a vertical lock. The profiled slide (16) has a locking projection (54) with a first guiding surface (56) which is positioned diagonally with respect to the installation plane and which comes into contact with a locking surface (66) of the locking recess (52) during the lowering process such that a force component that causes a movement from a release position into a locking position is applied to the profiled slide (16).
