[origin: WO2012103657A1] The invention relates to an electro-optical anti-glare device having a liquid crystal display (LCD) and an electronic control circuit (75) for control of the same, wherein a plane-parallel liquid crystal cell (LCD) is connected at least on one side face-to-face with a plano lens (33, 34, 37, 38, 42, 43, 46, 47, 52, 53, 56, 57) in order to form a neutral lens (31, 35) or ophthalmic lens (41, 45, 51, 55) and in particular in order to form a multifocal lens. Said electro-optical anti-glare device is preferably operated in "normally black" mode and comprises a wearer switch (78), which detects whether said anti-glare device is being worn or whether it has been put aside or set aside.
