[origin: WO2013017502A1] The invention relates to a method for processing an audio signal, to an audio playback system, and to a processing unit for processing audio signals. The audio signal comprises at least a first channel and a second channel, wherein the first channel is time-delayed by a predetermined delay factor and a volume level of the first channel is decreased by a predetermined damping factor. Said decreased and time-delayed first channel is added to the second channel in order to provide a second channel of the audio signal intended for playback.
