The device (1) has a crimping press station (2) connecting a conductor end of a cable with crimp contacts, and a supply unit (3) storing the crimp contacts and supplying the crimp contacts to the press station. The crimp contacts are extracted from supply rolls (4) on the supply unit. The supply unit is mobile relative to the press station, and mounts two of the supply rolls. The mobile supply unit is selectively movable between two docking locations at the press station. The associated supply rolls supply the crimp contacts to the press station in each docking location. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a crimp connection.

Eine Anordnung zur Herstellung einer Crimpverbindung weist eine an eine Crimppress-Station (2) andockbare mobile Versorgungseinheit (3,3') zum Bevorraten und Zuführen von Crimpkontakten (21) zu einer Crimppress-Station (2) auf. Die mobile Versorgungseinheit (3, 3') enthält zwei Vorratsrollen (4, 5; 4', 5') mit Crimpkontakten, die von der Seite her an die mobile Versorgungseinheit (3, 3') aufsteckbar sind. Jeder Vorratsrolle (4, 5; 4', 5') ist jeweils eine Kupplungseinrichtung (11) zugeordnet, über die die Versorgungseinheit (3, 3') entsprechend in zwei Andockstellungen mit der Crimppress-Station (2) andockbar ist.
