[origin: EP2740867A2] The closure element (11) comprises a base body (13) and a holder portion (15) mounted on the base body in a vertically adjustable manner. The holder portion comrpises a receiving opening (21) for receiving a locking element of a leaf of the window or the door. A magnetic area (33A,33B,33C) is provided at the holder portion, which comprises a permanent magnet or is ferromagnetically designed. The holding portion is displaceably mounted on the base body, particularly between a retracted position and an extended position. An independent claim is included for a connecting rod fitting of a window or a door.
