[origin: EP2741306A1] The transmitter (1) has a housing (20), and an operating unit (21) arranged at the housing and working together with a switching element arranged in a housing inner area. A lighting unit i.e. LED, is arranged in the housing inner area. The housing has a frame device (10) in which an information carrier (30) is arranged, where the information carrier is illuminated by the lighting unit. The information carrier has an illumination frame (41) that is made from polymer i.e. polycarbonate based on bisphenol A. The frame device has a metallic layer or coating on an upper side (11).
