The illumination device (1) comprises several mutually spaced illuminating units which are connected to the electrical wires which are electrically conductive with each other through a cable or several cable sections (4). Each illumination unit comprises a housing (5) which is designed to be partly transparent and is provided with two light sources which emit light in directions facing away from each other. The housing cover (7) is completely or partially made of a transparent good light transmissive material.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Beleuchtungseinrichtung (2) für einen Turm oder Tunnel, insbesondere einen Windkraftanlagenturm, aufweisend ein Gehäuse (5), das jedenfalls teiltransparent ausgelegt ist, wobei in dem Gehäuse (5) wenigstens zwei Leuchtmittel (19, 20) vorgesehen sind, welche ihr Licht in jeweils ganz oder im wesentlich voneinander abgewandte Richtungen abstrahlen. Die Erfindung betrifft weiterhin eine Beleuchtungsanordnung (1) für einen Turm oder Tunnel, insbesondere einen Windkraftanlagenturm, mit einer oder vorzugsweise mehreren, zueinander beabstandet angeordneten derartigen Beleuchtungseinrichtungen (2), die durch ein Kabel oder mehrere Kabelabschnitte (4) mit elektrischen Leitungsadern elektrisch leitend miteinander verbunden sind.
