Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2743565A1] The device (01) has light source (02) that emits light via through light input surface (04) of optical waveguide element (03). A reflector (07) is arranged between light source and the light input surface. Light reflected from sub-reflector portion (08) is collimated free of interaction with side walls (06) of optical waveguide element, and passed through light exit surface (05). The light reflected from sub-reflector portion (09) is interacted with side walls of optical waveguide element, and propagated light emerging from interaction is passed via light exit surface. An independent claim is included for a motor vehicle lamp.
