[origin: EP2746182A1] A tray for carton packages (1) comprises a first quadrangular surface (8) forming a flat support plateau for accommodating bottoms of carton packages (1) and a second quadrangular surface (18) forming a flat support plateau for accommodating tops (19) of carton packages (1). A first edge (9) surrounds the first surface (8) and extends away therefrom. A second edge (33) surrounds the second flat surface and extends away thereform and at least a first row of recesses (22) formed in the second surface (18) and at least a second row of recesses (28 - 32) formed on the second surface, the second row of recesses being dissimilar to the first row of recesses.
