Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2013026620A1] A liquid fabric conditioner composition comprising:- (a) a fabric conditioner base comprising a fabric conditioning active and having a pH of from 2.0 to 5.0; and (b) a particle comprising:- (b1) a capsule, which comprises:- (x) a core comprising a benefit agent; and (y) a shell; and (b2) a coating comprising a modified polyvinyl alcohol; wherein the modified polyvinyl alcohol comprises:- (i) a hydrophobic group, selected from an alkyl chain and an aryl chain having from 4 to 16 carbon atoms; and a hydrophilic group which is selected from an alkyl chain and an aryl chain, said hydrophilic group having from 4 to 16 carbon atoms and comprising an amine group selected from a primary, secondary and tertiary amine; and (iii) a mole ratio of hydrophobic groups to hydrophilic groups of from 1:0.5 to 1:10; and wherein the particle has a weight ratio of the capsule to the coating in the range of from 1:1 to 4:1; and the modified polyvinyl alcohol has a level of hydrophobic modification of from 2.0 to 15.0 mole %, with the proviso that at a weight ratio of capsule to coating of about 1:1, preferably from 1:1 to 1.25:1, the level of hydrophobic modification is from 2 to 10 mol %.
