[origin: WO2013029007A1] A pile arrangement for creating a wave barrier for waves in a body of water includes at least a first module of piles driven into the floor of the body of water at a first distance from the shoreline. The arrangement also includes at least a second module of piles driven into the floor at a second distance from the shoreline that is greater than the first distance. A method for creating a wave barrier for waves in a body of water includes driving at least a first module of piles into the floor of the body of water, and driving at least a second module of piles into the floor at a second distance from the shoreline that is greater than the first distance.
