[origin: EP2749378A1] The tool has housing parts (1, 2) rotatably connected with each other by a rotary hinge, which runs over an entire height. A cylindrical press ring axially slides above a cylindrical sleeve by the tool such that radial deformation of the sleeve is caused. Pistons are provided in a housing, and arranged so that a resulting force acts approximately through a center of area of force-transferring surfaces. The housing parts are automatically lockable during closing the housing parts. A pressing process is carried out within a space, which is completely enclosed by the housing parts.
