[origin: WO2013029913A1] The invention relates to controlling the transport of printed products (07) produced in a printing press (16), the printed products being transported from a delivery system (17) of a folding apparatus (01) of this printing press to a conveyor device (19) of a system (21) for further processing the printed products, the conveyor device being arranged downstream from the folding apparatus. At least during a continuous reduction of a transport speed (v06) of a substrate which is guided through the printing press and from which the printed products are produced, a signal indicating the current transport speed of the substrate is transmitted to the conveyor device of the system for further processing these printed products. Below a pre-set value for the continuously falling transport speed of the substrate, the signal which indicates this transport speed and which is transmitted to the conveyor device of the system for further processing the printed products is generated by a set-point generator (27) independently of the actual transport speed of the substrate and is transmitted to the conveyor device of the system for further processing the printed items.
