[origin: WO2013033741A1] The invention relates to an antimicrobial agent for the biocidal finishing of polymers, in particular of foam materials, based on a fine-pore foamed and fine-grain ground silvered glass, which in addition to a silver proportion also contains a proportion of zinc oxide. In order to permit an efficient antimicrobial agent having a good biocidal action, according to the invention zinc oxide is admixed with the fine-grain silvered glass.
