[origin: EP2565727A1] The method involves determining process parameters between Gaussian distributions of theoretical frequency values of a balance wheel and hairspring variation corresponding to reduction in inertia of the wheel. The wheel and a hairspring are taken in random manner. A machining of balancing adjustment of the wheel to provide balancing tolerance, and a complementary machining of inertia adjustment are performed, according to torque of the hairspring, to form a balance wheel-hairspring assembly to oscillate at oscillation frequency after operation of the inertia adjustment.
