Abstract (en)
The apparatus has a rigid body provided with a trunking for housing a rope, and a securing system comprising a rotary roller (16) to detect speed of rotation. The roller is fit on a mobile arm moved between blocking and released positions of the rope. A control selector (23) of a ratchet (26) occupies an inactive releasing position to enable the roller to rotate in rotation directions in a fall arrest operating mode, and an active unidirectional blocking position of the roller relative to the arm in a descending direction in another operating mode of the apparatus as a simple ascender.

Appareil de sécurité antichute sur corde comportant un galet (16) rotatif monté sur un bras pivotant (17) avec détection de la vitesse, et un sélecteur (23) de commande d'un cliquet (26). Ce dernier est apte à occuper une position inactive de déverrouillage autorisant le galet (16) à tourner dans les deux sens de rotation lors d'un premier mode de fonctionnement en antichute, et une position active de verrouillage unidirectionnel en rotation du galet (16) par rapport au bras (17) dans le sens de la descente correspondant à un deuxième mode de fonctionnement de l'appareil en simple bloqueur.
