[origin: EP2754967A1] The hood has a housing with an intake region for vapor. A blower unit (2) is arranged in the housing. A suction side (3) of the blower unit is fluidly connected with the intake region. The blower unit is partially surrounded by a sound inhibiting device (1). A fibrous material containing layer is arranged relative to the blower unit in front of a porous material such as melamine foam material, containing layer, where fibrous material allows passage of sound, and hinders passage of moisture and grease.
