[origin: WO2013037756A1] The invention relates to a laundry dryer (10), in particular a domestic luandry dryer, which has a drum (20) intended for laundry to be dried. The drum is provided with at least one air line (30, 40) for supplying air or discharging air. The laundry dryer (10) is characterized in that the air line (30, 40) can be closed by means of a temperature-activated air-flow blocking unit (50, 60), which contains an expansion material (70) that expands at a temperature caused by a fire to such an extent that the air line (30, 40) is closed thereby.
