[origin: WO2013037341A1] The invention relates to a stop arrangement for the retracted piston rod of a master cylinder, with a stop ring (1) connected to the housing of the master cylinder, and a piston rod stop (3), having on its side facing the stop ring (1) a spherical contact surface (9, 10) that contacts a complementarily formed contact surface (11) of the stop ring, wherein the piston rod stop (3) comprises two half shells (4, 5) which surround the master cylinder piston rod (2) running through the stop ring (1). The half shells (4, 5) are connected to one another with the aid of a connecting device (30, 41). Each half shell (4, 5) is connected to the piston rod (2) with the aid of a snap connection (12, 13). The piston rod (2) has at least one retaining area (22, 23) projecting axially to the side of the stop ring (1), which is acted upon in a locking manner in the assembled state by an axially projecting retaining area (24) of the piston rod stop (3).
