[origin: EP2756778A1] The pencil (2) has a shaft (4) with a rear portion (10) and a front portion (8) with a front end, an application element (12) arranged at front end of front portion and a cap (6) with an opening (16) that faces rear end of cap. A receiving sleeve (18) is provided inside the cap, receives application element and has a rear end facing shaft and an insertion opening (22) for receiving application element. The sleeve is arranged inside cap in the first end position (E1) and rear end of sleeve projects out of opening of cap with a projection in the second end position.
