[origin: EP2757320A1] The device (12) has a coating unit (16) having a horizontal partial coating section (18) is arranged on a portion of a top surface (19) of a hob plate unit (14). The coating unit comprises a vertical partial coating section (20) that is arranged on a portion of a peripheral side (21) of the hob plate unit. The horizontal and vertical partial coating sections formed of enamel-like material are integrally connected to each other along an entire transition region (22). An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a hob plate device.
