[origin: WO2013045331A1] The invention relates to a care-substance applicator (4) for applying a care substance to a strand of hair, comprising a care-substance reservoir (6) that is arranged in a housing (5) and designed as a cartridge receptacle. Said care-substance reservoir has at least one care-substance application outlet (18) and a cartridge opening (7) for inserting and removing a care-substance cartridge (8). The care-substance applicator (4) further comprises a carrying body (10) that carries, in a dimensionally stable manner, a care-substance carrier (11) having care substance retained therein. The carrying body (10) has a handle (13) for handling the care-substance cartridge (8). The care-substance cartridge (8) fills the care-substance reservoir (6) completely or approximately completely with regard to the cross-section of the care-substance reservoir. The invention further relates to a care-substance cartridge for such a care-substance applicator (4).
