Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2013045660A1] Prefabricated girder element comprising two spaced-apart flat flanges connected by a vertical web made of a rectangular flat sheet, so as to configure an I-section girder, said web having two opposite lateral faces to which are attached a plurality of transverse flats extending vertically over the entire height of the web, distributed over the entire length of the module, and separated from one another by a constant spacing corresponding to a sub-multiple of this length, said flats each forming a stiffening rib having one vertical side welded to the web and two spaced-apart horizontal sides welded to the mutually-facing internal faces of the two flanges. Said element is designed to form an element that forms part of a metal bridge span. The invention also relates to a metal bridge span and to a method for the modular construction of such a span.
