[origin: EP2762039A1] The chair (1) has a backrest (3) attached to a seat surface (2), in which a backrest angle (4) between backrest and seat surface is adaptable. A support element(s) (5) fixed in the backrest supports the upper body of the user, when the user is in an intended sitting position. The support element, in the intended sitting position, can be arranged under the armpits of the user, and is designed and fixed on the backrest such that it can be moved by user to obtain a desired support of upper body at a preset backrest angle while user is in intended sitting position. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) table; and (2) kit composed of chair and table.
