Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2762315A1] The machine has a joining device (29) for joining accessories (23) e.g. slip-folds, at a book block back part. A supply device (22) provides the accessories in a providing position (25) spaced from the back part. A transfer device (1) includes a suction plate (2) with suction openings as a holding element for presenting the provided accessories on the back part, which is before applied with adhesive. A sensor system (3) detects the accessories. A separate opening in the suction plate is associated to the sensor system. A separate air guide system supplies vacuum into the separate opening.
