[origin: WO2013050259A1] The invention relates to a golf tee (1) for driving a golf ball, comprising a base (2), an adjustable-length supporting part (3) arranged on the base, and a rest for the golf ball. In order to create a golf tee having a simple construction, high stability, and a height that can be adjusted to many settings, according to the invention the supporting part is designed as a coil compression spring (3), a pulling means (4) extends between the coil compression spring and the base, and the golf tee has a locking mechanism (5) for fixing the pulling means at different longitudinal extensions between the base and the coil compression spring.
