[origin: WO2013050009A1] The invention relates to a laid scrim device (100) comprising a plurality of reinforcing yarns (110, 120) that are divided into at least two groups of which a first, denoted as 0° reinforcing yarns (110), is oriented in a longitudinal direction and a second, denoted as 90° reinforcing yarns (120), is oriented at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the first group (110). A local drapability for forming strongly curved concave/convex surfaces is achieved in that both groups of reinforcing yarns (110, 120) are held loosely together by sheathing filaments (130) at least partially sheathing the reinforcing yarns (110, 120) in such a manner that any one of the reinforcing yarns (110, 120) can be displaced in relation to an adjacent reinforcing yarn (110, 120).
