[origin: EP2764926A1] The method involves providing a fiber or a thread and introducing or applying an active compound in or on the fiber or thread. Another fiber or thread is provided, where the former fiber or thread and latter fiber or thread are connected to a textile material strand (T). The active compound is not applied in or on the latter fiber or thread. The active compound is selected among paraffin, wax, oil or grease, or a solution or a mixture of these. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method of treating a wire using an active compound; (2) a textile material strand for processing a wire; and (3) a device for treating a wire.
