Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2764961A1] The apparatus has an emitter (32) adapted to emit a horizontal ray (31) parallel to a rotation axis (X'X) of a plate (7) and placed at top of transverse knife (24). The emitter is associated with a detector (35) intervening during connection of arm (22) in direction of tread (8b) of the tire to signal rupture of the ray by the tread to automaton (12). The automaton includes a time delay unit (40) delaying power supply of dual effect hydraulic jacks (26, 27) acting on the connection of slides (23), so that the knife penetrates sides (8c) of the tire only when the knife is below the tread.
