[origin: EP2765827A1] The induction cooking field device (12) has a carrier unit (24) that is provided to bear a shielding element (22) in an operating state. The carrier unit is formed integrally with the hob housing unit (16). A buffer unit (32) is arranged between the hob housing unit and the shielding element. The buffer unit is formed as a soft polymeric layer (34). An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing cooking field device.
