[origin: WO2013054035A1] The invention relates to a steam hairdressing appliance for styling the hair, including: a fluid tank; a chamber for vaporizing the fluid, comprising at least one fluid inlet and at least one outlet for the egress of steam toward the hair; a pipe for transporting the fluid between the tank and the inlet of the vaporisation chamber, the end of said pipe being arranged at least partially inside said chamber; a means for adjusting the fluid flow rate, which acts on the pipe; a control unit for controlling at least the means for adjusting the fluid flow rate; and at least one actuating means capable of emitting an actuation signal towards the control unit in order to control the means for adjusting the flow rate, wherein the control unit comprises a counter for counting down from a predetermined countdown time and a compensation means for ensuring the means for adjusting the flow rate is not actuated such that, when the countdown D1 ends without receiving the actuation signal, the means for adjusting the flow rate is controlled automatically for a predetermined temporary period.
