[origin: WO2013054168A2] This invention relates to a needle guide (2) comprising attachment means (3) for attachment to an imaging probe (1), to form an image of an area, comprising a fixed part (4) and a part (5) movable at an angle, which comprises one or more needle guide elements (9, 10, 11) to insert a needle (8) in a guiding manner of an area, and comprising at least one rotation sensor (6) to measure the angular rotation of the movable part (5). This invention also relates to a method for determining the position of a needle (8), which is attached in a needle guide (2) of this type to an imaging probe (1), in relation to this imaging probe (1).
