[origin: WO2014072184A1] The invention relates to a device for imaging a web-shaped material (5), comprising an object plane on which the web-shaped material (5) can be guided, a line-scan camera (4), an objective (3) which is designed to image a strip to be imaged with a length and a width on the object plane onto the line-scan camera (4), said length being greater than the width, and a strip-shaped lighting device (1) with a length and a width, said length being greater than the width. The lighting device (1) is designed such that the length of the lighting device extends substantially parallel to the length of the strip to be imaged, and the lighting device illuminates the strip to be imaged on the object plane during the operation of the device. A strip-shaped aperture (2) with a length and a width, said length being greater than the width, is arranged in a beam path between the lighting device and the strip to be imaged, wherein the length of the aperture extends substantially parallel to the length of the strip to be imaged.
