[origin: EP2767478A1] The shrinkage device has a transport path for the articles or article combination, on which articles covered with packaging unit are transported in a transport direction (TR). Two shaft walls are arranged on both sides along the transport path. A shrinkage aid distributing device is arranged over each shaft wall. The shaft walls are formed of two shaft chamber modules arranged in series one after another in transport direction. Two shaft chamber modules are assigned to the shrinkage aid distributing device per shaft wall.
