[origin: WO2013057054A1] A transportable, modular kitchen system for feeding a plurality of people has a first module (12) and at least one additional module (14, 16). The first module (12) contains a washing basin (28) and a first transport crate (18) with at least one first side surface (24), which forms a first kitchen work surface during operation of the kitchen. The additional module (14, 16) contains a cooking device (30, 34) and an additional transport crate (20, 22) with at least one additional side face (26), which forms an additional kitchen work surface in during operation of the kitchen. The transport crates (18, 20, 22) each have an upper side (36), an underside and side walls (40, 42), which together enclose an interior space (46). The cooking device (30, 34) and the washing basin (28) are each movable separate devices, which can be optionally stowed in the interior (46) of the respective transport crate (12, 14, 16) or used for their intended purposes separately from the respective transport crate (12, 14, 16). The transport crate (12) has first securing elements (58, 64) for transport-safe holding of the washing basin (28) in the interior (46) of the first transport crate (12). The additional transport crate (14, 16) has additional securing elements (60) for transport-safe holding of the cooking device (30, 34) in the interior (46) of the additional transport crate (14, 16). The upper side (36) of each transport crate (12, 14, 16) is constructed as an extra kitchen work surface.
