[origin: GB2495779A] An image display apparatus comprises a backing panel 12, one of more first raised portions 14 located on the backing panel with the or each first raised portion having an upper surface upon which an image 18 is secured for display, and a backing support panel 11 upon which the backing panel is mounted. The backing support panel comprises a transparent material and has a perimeter that extends at least to a perimeter of the backing panel. In use the backing support panel prevents the backing panel being knocked, damaged or scuffed and serves to cause the image display apparatus to appear to “float†on a wall surface.
