A bottom flap (16) is provided, which is closed at second side of the dust collection container and is pivotable to open the dust collection container. A coarse sediment bowl (22) is located inside the dust collection container and is vertically movable on a guide. An independent claim is included for a method for using a vacuum cleaner.
