Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2770156A1] The drilling tool (10) has drill rod element (14) that is connected to rotary drive, and driven in rotating manner about drilling axis. A removal tooth is supported in adjustable manner inside frame-like housing (12) between retracted position and operating position in which removal tooth projects radially from housing. A transmission mechanism is arranged within the housing for transmitting rotational movement of drill rod element into radial movement for radial adjustment of removal tooth. An independent claim is included for a method for drilling the earth using drilling tool.
