[origin: WO2013060512A1] The invention relates to a method for operating a regulation system (16) for driving dynamics regulation of a vehicle (10), in particular motor vehicle. The following steps are provided: detection of an object (40) by means of at least one environment detection device (38) which performs detection in a detection region (48) in the vehicle environment, determination of the probability of an interaction, which interaction would result in damage to the vehicle (10) or its occupants, of the vehicle (10) with the object (40), and variation of the intensity of a regulating intervention of the driving dynamics regulation system as a function of the previously determined probability of an interaction of the vehicle (10) with the object (40) in at least one operating mode of the regulation system (16), wherein the driving dynamics regulation system is a driving dynamics regulation system for preventing a lateral breakaway of the vehicle (10). The invention furthermore relates to a corresponding control unit (18, 30) and to a corresponding regulation system (16).
