[origin: DE102011054883B3] The packaging film (1) has two functional layers, where the former functional layer is formed as a carrier layer (2), and the latter functional layer is formed as a cushion layer (3). The carrier layer is made of a material with high uniform elongation of greater than 150 percent. Multiple compartments (4) are provided with an outer layer (3A) and are filled with a gas mixture. Mutually independent areas of bounding material layers are provided, where the packaging film is formed as a composite material, in which all the functional layers are connected together. An independent claim is included for a method for producing a packaging film.
